Police Investigate Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash on Jackson Avenue in San Jose

San Jose, CA (July 28, 2022) – Early Tuesday morning, a female pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on Jackson Avenue.

The fatal hit-and-run crash in San Jose happened at around 4:46 a.m. on July 26 near South Jackson Avenue and Kammerer Avenue.

San Jose Police said a black sedan, described as possibly a 2018-2022 Honda Accord, traveling northbound on South Jackson Avenue struck a woman crossing the road in the eastbound direction.

Reportedly, the woman was not in a marked crosswalk at the time. The sedan driver then immediately fled.

Police said the woman died at the crash scene.
