1 Dead in Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident on Lankershim Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (December 29, 2020) – Monday afternoon, a woman died in a hit-and-run accident on Lankershim Boulevard.
Moreover, the accident happened around 5:40 p.m. as the victim walked on Lankershim Boulevard in a marked crosswalk.
The Los Angeles Police Department said that the incident happened near Studio City and Valley Village.
According to reports, a driver was heading east on Moorpark Street in a newer model 4-door sedan. Then, the driver turned right onto Lankershim Boulevard and hit the pedestrian.
However, the driver headed on Lankershim and failed to stop.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics came to the scene and took the victim to a hospital. Unfortunately, the 85-year-old woman died and hasn’t been identified.
Ultimately, the authorities are offering a reward of up to $50,000 to anyone who can give information that will lead to the driver’s identity and arrest.
