Police Investigate a Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash on East Seventh Street in Long Beach
Long Beach, CA (August 13, 2021) – Thursday night, a female pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on East Seventh Street.
The fatal crash in Long Beach happened at around 8:30 p.m. on August 12 in the area of East Seventh Street and Dawson Avenue.
Investigators said the woman was walking northbound and attempting to cross Seventh Street in an unmarked crosswalk on the east side of the intersection when she was hit by the pickup truck. While she lay in the eastbound lanes, she was run over by the SUV.
However, neither of the two drivers stopped to render aid to the woman. Both vehicles were traveling eastbound.
EMS took the woman to a hospital where she died. Long Beach Police have yet to disclose the woman’s name, pending notification of her relatives.
Further investigation into this fatal incident is ongoing.
