1 Dead in Stockton Auto Accident on Highway 99 near State Route 120

STOCKTON, CA (January 16, 2024) – Sunday night, a Sacramento woman died in a devastating rear-end crash on Highway 99.

The incident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. on southbound Highway 99 near State Route 120.

According to reports, as a 30-year-old woman drove a Chevy Malibu south on Highway 99, she veered into the center median and crashed with the concrete divider wall.

Then, a second driver failed to stop in time and rear-ended the Malibu.

As a result, the Malibu driver was declared dead at San Joaquin General Hospital.

Furthermore, the authorities haven’t determined whether alcohol and/or drugs played a role in the crash.

Also, they urged anyone with information to contact the CHP Stockton office at 209-938-4800.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
