SAN JOSE, CA (June 29, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a woman died in a hit-and-run crash on S Jackson Avenue in San Jose.
 
The incident occurred at 4:46 a.m. in the 200 block of South Jackson Avenue. According to reports, a black sedan struck and injured a female pedestrian. Then, that driver fled the scene.
 
Officers described the vehicle as a northbound 2018-2022 Honda Accord. Then, the crash occurred as the woman tried to cross the roadway outside a crosswalk.
 
As a result, the woman succumbed to her injuries. Her death marked San Jose’s 21st pedestrian fatality of 2022.
 
Moreover, the authorities investigate the incident as a felony hit-and-run.
