1 Dead in Porterville Auto Accident on Highway 65 and Avenue 12
PORTERVILLE, CA (November 18, 2021) – Tuesday night, a woman died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 65 and Avenue 12.
The incident happened when a Bakersfield woman drove a 2006 Ford north on Highway 65, south of Avenue 12. Then, the Ford collided head-on with a Freightliner.
The semi’s front hit the right side of the Ford. As a result, the Ford passenger succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, responders took the driver to Kern Regional Center with major injuries.
At this time, the authorities do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
