SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA (September 20, 2022) – Early Sunday, a woman died in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 152 near Pacheco State Park.
 
The incident happened at 1:53 a.m. on eastbound Highway 152 near Pacheco State Park.
 
According to reports, a 2007 Lexus crashed with the rear of a Kia Optima. Then, the impact sent the Kia around 200 feet down an embankment. Afterward, it overturned before landing on its wheels.
 
As a result, the 49-year-old male Kia driver sustained major injuries. Meanwhile, a 42-year-old female passenger in the vehicle died at the scene.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification.
 
Afterward, the Lexus driver continued driving until the car became stopped west of Dinosaur Point Road.
 
When the CHP officers arrived, they found the vehicle abandoned.
 
Furthermore, they urged anyone who witnessed or has any information regarding this crash to contact Officer T. Mahanay or Officer M. Sakamoto at the CHP Hollister-Gilroy Area Office at 408-427-0700.
