1 Dead in Oakland Pedestrian Accident on Hegenberger Road near Hamilton Street
OAKLAND, CA (October 5, 2022) – Monday night, a woman died in a hit-and-run crash on Hegenberger Road near Hamilton Street.
The incident happened at 9:49 p.m. on Hegenberger Road near Hamilton Street.
According to reports, when officers arrived, they found a person with critical injuries on the center median south of the intersection.
Despite life-saving measures, the woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, a preliminary investigation revealed that the woman crossed Hegenberger Road outside of a crosswalk. Then, a vehicle traveling south on Hegenberger struck her.
Afterward, the vehicle driver left the crash scene and officers haven’t identified that person as of this time.
