55-Year-Old Woman Killed in DUI Crash near Hay Road and Meridian Road [Vacaville, CA]

1 Dead and 1 Injured in Vacaville Accident near Hay Road and Meridian Road

 
VACAVILLE, CA (February 1, 2022) – Sunday night, a 55-year-old woman died in a DUI crash near Hay Road and Meridian Road.
 
The single-vehicle crash happened at around 7:30 p.m. near Hay Road and Meridian Road.
 
According to reports, a westbound Toyota Tundra on Hay Road traveled at a high rate of speed. Then, it failed to yield at the stop sign on Meridian Road.
 
Afterward, the Tundra crossed the road and went airborne after crashing into a dirt mound. Then, it came to rest on its passenger side in an irrigation ditch about 100 feet from Meridian Road.
 
The crash killed a 55-year-old Toyota female passenger. Her identity remains undisclosed at this time. Meanwhile, another passenger, a 24-year-old woman from Vacaville sustained major injuries. Then, responders took her to the hospital.
 
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old driver from Vacaville sustained minor injuries. Also, authorities arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence.
 
Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to call the CHP at 1-(800) 835-5247 or the CHP Solano Area Office at (707) 639-5600. Callers should direct the information to CHP-Solano and Officer Ramos as they handled the investigation.
