1 Dead in Phoenix Auto Accident near 24th Street and Sahuaro Drive
PHOENIX, AZ (December 28, 2021) – Early Saturday, a woman died in a single-vehicle crash near 24th Street and Sahuaro Drive.
The incident occurred at about 3:00 a.m. near 24th Street and Sahuaro Drive.
When the authorities arrived, they found a vehicle that had crashed into a power pole. They also found two victims trapped inside.
Also, the incident broke the power pole at the base knocking down live power lines which complicated rescue efforts. Also, the incident knocked out power to an estimated 1500 APS customers.
Responders extracted one male patient and took him to Honor Health Sunnyslope in critical condition/level one trauma. Meanwhile, the woman died at the scene.
At this time, the authorities continue to investigate the crash that shut down 24th Street between Saguaro Drive and Larkspur Drive.
