1 Dead in Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident on Virgil Avenue and 3rd Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 30, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a 70-year-old woman died in a brutal pedestrian crash on Virgil Avenue and 3rd Street.
The incident occurred just before 6:00 a.m. on Virgil Avenue and 3rd Street.
Police reported that a woman was walking in the area when an 83-year-old driver, who had just turned north onto Virgil, struck her. The driver stopped and attempted to help.
At that moment, a second vehicle struck both the woman and the elderly driver. The second driver continued north on Virgil without stopping or offering aid, according to the LAPD.
Paramedics transported both the 70-year-old woman and the 83-year-old man to a hospital, where the woman later died from her injuries. Police are actively searching for the hit-and-run driver.
