Off-Duty Police Officer Involved in Dallas Vehicle Crash on Interstate 30 and 2nd Avenue

DALLAS, TX (January 7, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, a pregnant woman died in a brutal auto accident on Interstate 30 and 2nd Avenue.

The incident happened just after 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 30 and 2nd Avenue.

According to reports, an off-duty Dallas police officer was traveling in a Jeep Wrangler. However, the officer hit a Chevy Malibu.

After the crash, responders took all occupants in the Chevy Malibu to a hospital. However, a pregnant occupant was declared dead. Meanwhile, the baby survived but was listed in critical condition.

Furthermore, the two other occupants in the Malibu were also listed in critical condition.

After receiving a medical evaluation, the officer was released from the hospital.

Meanwhile, the roadway reopened just before 6:00 a.m.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
