Female Bicyclist Dies after Collision with Vehicle near 110 Freeway

LOS ANGELES, CA (November 20, 2018) – A woman was killed Tuesday evening following a bicycle crash on West Florence Avenue. The identity of the victim is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, emergency responders found the bicyclist pinned underneath a truck at about 8:26 PM. Events that led to the collision were not immediately available.

The victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead after she was freed by firefighters. Meanwhile, the man driving the vehicle did not sustain injuries and cooperated with investigators.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fatal crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is encouraged to contact the authorities as soon as possible. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
