Woman Killed in Bicycle Accident on West Hammer Lane [Stockton, CA]

Female Bicyclist Fatally Struck by Vehicle near Don Avenue

 
STOCKTON, CA (July 23, 2018) – A woman was killed early Monday afternoon following a bicycle accident on West Hammer Lane.
 
According to the Stockton Police Department, the deadly collision took place shortly after noon in the area of Hammer Lane and Don Avenue. A woman in her 30’s was riding her bicycle when she was struck by a vehicle. Events that led to the crash were not immediately available.
 
The bicyclist was rushed to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead by medical staff. Her identity and city of residence were not released, pending notification of next of kin. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and was cooperative with officials during their investigation.
 
Authorities continue to investigate, in order to determine the cause of the collision and possible contributing factors. No additional details have been provided to the public at this time.
