1 Dead and 1 Hurt in Oakland Crash on Highway 13 and Broadway Terrace
OAKLAND, CA (February 11, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon, a woman died in an accident on Highway 13 and Broadway Terrace.
The incident happened at 12:20 p.m. on southbound Highway 13, north of Broadway Terrace, revealed CHP officer Sean Layton.
According to reports, a pickup truck hit a stalled car while two women stood outside the disabled vehicle.
At this time, the officers haven’t identified how and why the pickup truck crashed with it. However, they confirmed that the disabled car crashed into the two unidentified women.
As a result, the incident closed two of the three lanes of traffic for nearly two hours. Meanwhile, the injured women received treatment at Highland Hospital in Oakland.
Meanwhile, the involved driver of the pickup truck was also treated for moderate injuries. The driver has been cooperative with the investigation. Also, the officers confirmed that drugs or alcohol didn’t play a role in the crash.
