Irving, TX (October 3, 2024) – A 52-year-old woman died in a crash on Highway 287.

A major accident occurred on Wednesday, October 2nd, at 8:28 p.m. on northbound Highway 287, just north of Rhome city limits, involving a fatal head-on collision. 

A 52-year-old woman driving southbound crossed into the median and collided with a northbound pickup truck. 

The impact ejected the woman from her vehicle, and she died at the scene.

The pickup truck driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
