Deadly Pedestrian Crash on Telephone Road in Ventura

 
VENTURA, CA (November 15, 2019) – A woman died after being struck by a car late Friday afternoon in Ventura, authorities said.
 
The fatal incident happened around 5:19 p.m. at the intersection of Telephone Road and Ramelli Avenue.
 
CHP officials responded to the crash site and found the driver of the involved vehicle standing on the sidewalk. The female pedestrian was lying on the ground with severe injuries.
 
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Officials closed the westbound traffic on Telephone Road and southbound traffic on Ramelli Avenue while they investigated the incident.
