Teen Injured in Leavenworth Deadly Snowmobile Crash
Leavenworth, WA (February 24, 2024) – A 51-year-old woman was killed following a snowmobile accident near Eagle Creek Road SnoPark Thursday afternoon.
The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded at 2 p.m. to the accident scene approximately 12 miles from the Eagle Creek Road SnoPark.
Investigators said the 51-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl, both from Seattle, were on the same snowmobile when it left the trail. The snowmobile then went down an embankment, under a downed tree, hitting the 51-year-old on her chest.
At the around 2:45 p.m., the responding medial team began treating the 51-year-old woman who incurred significant chest and leg injuries. Sadly, she was later declared deceased at the scene.
The 14-year-old girl incurred leg injuries due to the accident.
Officers are investigating this fatal crash.
