1 Dead in Tucson Pedestrian Crash on Grant Road near Jordan Drive
TUCSON, AZ (December 31, 2021) – Monday night, a woman died in a pedestrian accident on Grant Road near Jordan Drive.
The incident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of W Grant Road near N Jordan Drive. According to reports, a vehicle struck a female pedestrian in her 60s.
Then, responders took the patient to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. However, upon her arrival, she was declared dead.
At this time, her identity remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
Meanwhile, further investigation revealed that a white 2004 Isuzu Rodeo traveled east on Grant Road. As the Isuzu drove in the median lane, it hit the pedestrian accident.
Moreover, the authorities confirmed that the driver didn’t show signs of impairment after the crash.
Also, the pedestrian didn’t use a crosswalk which contributed to the collision.
The authorities continue to investigate the crash.
