Police Investigate a Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on Stockdale Highway in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA (November 19, 2021) –  On Friday, a woman died and two others sustained critical injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Stockdale Highway.

The fatal crash in Bakersfield happened at around 12:09 a.m. on November 19 in the 14000 block of Stockdale Highway.

Bakersfield Police said the crash involved multiple vehicles.

As a result, a woman who was a passenger in a red Honda Civic female passenger died at the hospital. EMS also took the male driver of the red Honda Civic to a hospital in critical condition.

Moreover, a third passenger of the Civic was in critical condition at an area hospital. No one in the other vehicle reported injuries.

Investigators revealed that speeding appeared to be a factor in the crash.

At this time it is unknown if alcohol or drugs played as factors in this collision while the investigation is ongoing.
