82-Year-Old Woman Dies in Three-Vehicle Crash on South Houghton Road in Tucson
Tucson, AZ (October 1, 2021) – Wednesday, an 82-year-old woman died and one person sustained injuries in a three-vehicle crash on South Houghton Road.
The fatal crash in Tucson happened on Tuesday, September 28 on East Old Spanish Trail.
Tucson Police said the collision involved three vehicles. They found a silver 2001 Toyota RAV4, a white 2012 Ford Fiest, and a white 1999 Toyota Solara.
Reportedly, the Fiesta was heading eastbound on Old Spanish Trail at Houghton Road when the RAV4 went through a red light on Houghton.
Moreover, the crash made the Fiesta hit the Solara, which was heading westbound on Old Spanish Trail.
As a result, the drivers of the RAV4 and Fiesta were hospitalized at St. Joseph’s. Unfortunately, the driver of the Fiesta died the next day.
No citations or charges have been issued.
Further investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
