1One Person Trapped in Vehicle after Incident at 175th Street SE
BOTHELL, WA (August 29, 2018) – On Wednesday evening, a woman sustained moderate injuries after a tree falls on SUV near 51st Avenue SE. She was only identified as a woman in her 20’s.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the driver was trapped inside her vehicle near Clearview, just north of Bothell. The accident took place around 7:45 PM near 51st Ave SE and 175th Street SE. Firefighters responded to the scene and had to pull the woman from the SUV.
Emergency responders then transported her to a nearby hospital for treatment and evaluation. There is no update on her current medical condition. A passenger in the car was not injured.
The preliminary investigation found that the SUV was parked on the side of the road when the wind was blew and the top of the tree snapped, falling onto the vehicle. Firefighters stated that 51st Ave SE was closed between 169th and 180th Streets for more than an hour and a half while they removed the tree and cleared the scene.
No additional information has been released to the public at this time.
