1 Hospitalized after Kent Train Accident
KENT, WA (March 4, 2019) – A woman in her 20s sustained injuries after a train accident on February 28 along a railroad bridge in Kent.
Gus Melonas with BNSF revealed that the victim walked along with two other people on the bridge over the Green River Road about 7:00 p.m. However, a northbound train arrived and hit the woman.
She then headed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and has a high chance of survival.
Meanwhile, the other two people didn’t suffer any injuries and have left the area.
According to officials, it is not legal to trespass on a railroad bridge. The officials also stressed out that two people died in a train accident in the state for this year.
