20-Year-Old Woman Injured in Santa Maria Crash on Harris Grade Road
SANTA MARIA, CA (September 17, 2019) — A female driver suffered major injuries in a solo vehicle crash on Harris Grade Road Friday night.
The authorities said the incident occurred at about 6:15 p.m near Highway 135. The Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the California Highway Patrol, and American Medical Response responded.
As per the initial investigation, a vehicle veered off of Harris Grade Road for unknown reasons. It ended up in an irrigation ditch 20 feet off the roadway.
Firefighters extricated a 20-year-old woman from the crumpled vehicle. An AMR ambulance then transported her to Marian Regional Medical Center with major but non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash is under investigation by the CHP Santa Maria area officers.
