Female Hospitalized after Car Crash in Chico
CHICO, CA (February 26, 2019) – On Tuesday afternoon around 12:00 p.m., a woman was injured in a solo car accident on Highway 99 near East Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman lost control of her white Lexus sedan. As a result, her car spun out and came to a complete stop in the bushes along the center median. No other cars were involved in the accident.
First responders arrived at the scene and stated the victim suffered minor injuries. Therefore, she was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and evaluation. Her current medical condition is unknown at this time.
Authorities believe speed was a contributing factor in the collision. The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened. No further details have been disclosed to the public, as the investigation continues.
