26-Year-Old Woman Injured in Scooter Accident in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 17, 2019) – Thursday afternoon, a 26-year-old woman was injured in a scooter accident in the Mission Beach area of San Diego.
Officials reported the incident occurred about 3:00 PM in the 2700 block of Ocean Front Walk. The victim began riding her scooter and pushing it forward with her foot when she stepped in a hole filled with water and fell.
According to Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department, the woman suffered a serious eye injury. She was taken to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation.
