50-Year-Old Woman Hurt in San Diego Scooter Accident on Historic Decatur Road
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 05, 2019) – A scooter accident on Historic Decatur Road in Liberty Station left a woman with serious injuries Saturday morning.
The San Diego police said the incident occurred at around 9:45 a.m. The 50-year-old woman was riding a scooter eastbound through the parking lot at 2730 Historic Decatur Road. She tried to adjust her purse and it got caught up in the handlebars.
She subsequently lost control of the scooter and fell.
The woman struck her head on the ground. As a result, she suffered a brain bleed and skull fracture.
The officers of the San Diego Traffic Division responded to the scene. They are also investigating the incident.
