19-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized after Struck Car near McKee Road
SAN JOSE, CA (June 13, 2018) – A woman was hospitalized early Wednesday morning following a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on North Capitol Avenue.
According to the San Jose Police, the collision took place at about 2:18 AM. A 19-year-old woman was walking at the intersection of North Capitol Avenue and McKee Road when a vehicle struck her. A witness stated that the impact of the crash threw the victim about 20 to 25 feet away from the initial collision.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. Her identity was not immediately released to the public.
The male driver of the vehicle reportedly fled the scene and continued traveling on North Capitol. Authorities described the vehicle as a 1990s SUV, possibly a Chevy Suburban.
