Female Hurt in Goleta Pedestrian Accident on Calle Real
GOLETA, CA (March 16, 2020) – A pedestrian accident on March 12 on Calle Real, left a woman with serious injuries.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department revealed that the woman was walking across the street near the Calle Real Shopping Center when she was struck by a vehicle.
At 8:45 p.m., the sheriff’s deputies and other emergency personnel came on the 5700 block of Calle Real.
Officers later revealed that the pedestrian was in the crosswalk at the time of the collision.
An AMR ambulance took the woman to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. The authorities also expect the victim to recover.
Her identity and condition remain unreleased as of this time. Officers also added that the Chevrolet truck driver remained at the scene and has been very cooperative.
The driver admitted to consuming some alcohol and was evaluated at the scene. It was determined he was not under the influence and was well under the legal limit for blood-alcohol content.
