Four Vehicles Involved in Collision near Shoemaker Avenue
CERRITOS, CA (November 10, 2018) – A woman was injured in a multi-car crash on 91 Freeway, early Saturday morning. The name and place of residence of the victim have not been released at this time.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 5:10 AM, just west of Shoemaker Avenue. Based on their report, a total of four vehicles were recovered at the scene. The parties were identified as a Ford F-150, a Nissan Sentra, a Mercedes-Benz, and a semi-truck.
The female driver inside the Mercedes-Benz was found with facial lacerations. The paramedics were requested for rescue. There is no update on her current medical condition. A SigAlert was released closing No. 3 and 4 lanes while a clearing operation was performed to clean and clear the area, while the amount of damage acquired in the pile-up was still being assessed.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
