1 Hurt in Otay Mesa Motorcycle Accident
OTAY MESA, CA (February 1, 2019) – A 36-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after losing control of her motorcycle and crashing an SUV on January 31.
The incident happened at 2:35 p.m. on Coronado Avenue and Beyer Boulevard, San Diego Police Officer John Buttle revealed.
According to Buttle, the 36-year-old female driver of a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle was stopped in the left turn lane of eastbound Coronado Avenue when the green light was turned on. She then made a turn onto northbound Beyer Boulevard.
During her turn, the woman was unable to control the motorcycle, rode across the intersection and crashed into a westbound 2017 Hyundai SUV driven by a 44-year-old female driver on Coronado Avenue.
