Airbags Deployed in Afternoon 2-Car Crash at Highway 70 in Paxton
PAXTON, CA (July 3, 2019) – A woman was injured following a two-car crash Wednesday afternoon in Paxton, CHP officials said.
The crash happened just before 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 70 and Highway 89.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a BMW and a Toyota car collided and airbags were deployed in at least one of the vehicles.
A female occupant suffered a significant knee injury, while an elderly man reportedly had chest and breathing problems. Paramedics took the patients to a hospital for proper treatment.
Both vehicles were towed away from the crash site.
It is unknown if drugs and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. An investigation is still ongoing.
