Pedestrian Suffers Head Trauma after Crash on Imperial Beach Boulevard

 
IMPERIAL BEACH, CA (August 11, 2019) – A woman suffered injuries in a pedestrian crash on Imperial Beach Boulevard, Sunday evening.
 
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the incident happened shortly after 8:15 PM. The victim attempted to cross south on Imperial Beach Boulevard near 12th Street. Then, a vehicle struck and knocked her down.
 
Emergency responders rushed the victim to a nearby hospital after she suffered from head trauma. Her current condition remains unknown. Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
It is unknown whether or not the woman attempted to cross in a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
