Antonio Jimenez Arrested After Hit-And-Run Crash on Main Street in Hesperia

Hesperia, CA (September 25, 2024) – On Wednesday morning, a woman sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Main Street.

A woman was trapped in her vehicle following a T-bone collision.

The crash occurred at around 8:18 a.m. on September 25, 2024, at the intersection of Main Street and Key Point Drive.

The woman, driving a black Nissan Rogue southbound, was struck by a silver sedan that ran a red light, causing the SUV to go airborne and spin several times.

The male driver of the sedan briefly stopped before fleeing at high speed.

A Good Samaritan followed the suspect for several miles while on the phone with 911 dispatch but eventually had to stop for safety reasons.

San Bernardino County Fire responded to the scene and used extrication tools to free the woman, who was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies later located the suspect vehicle, a silver Honda with front-end damage, near Sheffield Street and Rock Springs Road.

The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Antonio Jimenez of Hesperia, was apprehended and arrested.

He was cited and released, and the case is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for further review.
