Driver Fled on Foot after Car Crashes into Home in Covina
Covina, CA (October 22, 2020) – Saturday night, a driver fled on foot, leaving a female passenger injured after crashing a home.
The crash happened at around 9:20 p.m. on October 10.
The California Highway Patrol tried to pull over a speeding motorist driving a Tesla Model 3. However, the driver continued to drive recklessly.
Shortly after, Tesla had slammed into the garage of a home. Homeowners remained uninjured, but their home was severely damaged.
However, the driver fled on foot, leaving the female passenger. The passenger was then transported to a hospital with moderate injuries.
According to the homeowners, the Tesla hit a utility pole then plowed into two vehicles on their driveway before crashing into another car inside their garage. The car missed the room where they were sleeping.
Authorities searched the area for the driver for two hours to no avail.
The CHP continues the investigation, but officials provided no further details.
