E-Scooter Rider Hospitalized after Hit-And-Run Crash on Highway 273 in Anderson

Anderson, CA (November 5, 2021) – Thursday night, a 51-year-old woman from Anderson sustained significant injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 273.

The hit-and-run crash in Anderson happened at around 8:20 p.m. on November 4, just north of Highway 273 and Bruce Street.

Anderson Police said they found the victim on the roadway’s shoulder, appearing to be suffering from significant injuries.

Moreover, the victim said she was riding an e-scooter in the bike lane when a smaller white vehicle struck her. A woman in her 20s, moved her out of the roadway but fled the scene.

No other information is available. Further investigation is ongoing.
