17-Year-Old Boy Involved in San Diego Car Accident
SAN DIEGO, CA ( April 28, 2019) – Sunday morning, a woman was injured in a head-on collision on El Camino Road, just west of Del Mar.
San Diego Police responded to the accident on El Camino Road around 10:04 AM. Dispatchers then arrived between San Dieguito Road and Sea Country Lane.
Officials identified one of the drivers as a 17-year-old boy, and the other as a 25-year-old woman. The male driver was reportedly traveling northbound at high speeds when he eventually collided with an oncoming vehicle. The impact consequently caused her car to veer off the roadway.
Moreover, the female driver was found trapped inside her vehicle upon officers arrival. Medics also say she sustained a fractured pelvis as a result of the impact. However, there has been no update on her current condition at this time.
Authorities closed off the surrounding area for a brief time while crews worked to clear the wreckage.
No more details have been disclosed to the pubic at this time. Furthermore, it is also currently unclear if the teen will be charged with speeding or reckless driving.
