Woman Hospitalized after DUI Crash on Palm and Olive Avenue in Fresno

Fresno, CA (February 11, 2022) – Thursday afternoon, a 25-year- old woman sustained severe injuries in a DUI crash on Palm and Olive Avenue.

The DUI crash in Fresno happened just after 6 p.m. on February 10.

Fresno Police said there were two vehicles involved in the crash and appeared to be chasing each other as the driver of a blue pickup truck failed to stop after hitting a white SUV.

Moreover, police said the driver of the blue pickup sped off, running a red light and hitting the woman who was on the crosswalk, then lost control of the vehicle, hitting a bus bench and fence nearby.

The SUV driver stopped and while helping the woman he saw the driver of the blue pickup attempt to run away. He then chased the driver down and brought him back to the scene until police arrived.

EMS took the woman to Community Regional Medical Center in critical but stable condition.

The 27-year-old driver is currently in custody and is now facing multiple charges along with a DUI.
