1 Hospitalized in Corning Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 West
CORNING, CA (July 12, 2022) – Saturday night, a woman sustained injuries in a pedestrian crash on Highway 99 West.
According to the Corning Police Department, the incident happened at around 10:00 p.m. Moreover, it occurred at the 900 block of Highway 99 West.
Reports revealed that a southbound black Kia Forte traveled the speed limit. Then, it struck a 41-year-old female pedestrian pushing a shopping cart. Eventually, the woman veered into the southbound lane for still unknown reasons and was hit by the Kia.
Moreover, responders rushed the victim to a hospital with multiple lacerations and a possible spinal injury.
Furthermore, the Kia driver, a 23-year-old man, remained at the scene after the crash.
Meanwhile, officials confirmed that they didn’t arrest anyone as of this time.
