The crash occurred at about 6:54 p.m. on 6th Avenue and 27th Street.
According to reports, a car struck a woman as she walked in a crosswalk. After the crash, the vehicle driver fled the crash scene.
Meanwhile, the woman sustained serious injuries. Thus, responders took her to a nearby hospital.
