1 Hurt in Hesperia Car Accident

 
HESPERIA, CA (May 22, 2019) – A woman sustained injuries to her back in a car collision on Main Street on May 19.
 
San Bernardino County Firefighters and Deputies with the Hesperia Sheriff’s station came to the scene Main Street and 11th Avenue for reports of a two-car collision at around 4:45 pm.
 
When they arrived, they found a black Chevy Tahoe with front-end damage, and a blue 2019 Toyota 86 Sports Car with rear-end damage in the no.1 eastbound lane.
 
“I was the passenger and my husband was driving,” the Toyota occupant said. “The impact was so hard that it broke my seat,” she added. “I’m going to skip the ambulance and go straight to the hospital after the tow truck gets here.”
 
The male Tahoe driver confirmed that he didn’t suffer any injury. According to him, the vehicle in front of him stopped suddenly as the light changed to yellow.
 
A part of the intersection remained closed for a brief period while authorities worked at the scene.
 
The Hesperia Sheriff’s Station is currently investigating the cause of the collision. They are encouraging anyone with information to call (760)947-1500.
