Bicyclist Hit and Seriously Injured by Vehicle near Olympic Drive
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 28, 2019) – A 25-year-old woman suffered serious injuries in a bicycle accident on Westborough Boulevard, Tuesday evening.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, the incident happened at about 9:00 PM. A vehicle attempted to turn onto Olympic Drive when it struck the eastbound bicyclist.
Emergency responders transported the victim to a local hospital with a fractured orbital bone and a broken left arm. She is expected to recover soon. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Investigators found the driver at fault for not yielding to the bicyclist. Additional information will be released following the ongoing investigation.
