Injuries Reported in Bakersfield Auto Accident on Panama Lane and Buena Vista Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 1, 2024) – Saturday night, a woman suffered injuries in an alarming rollover crash on Panama Lane and Buena Vista Road.

The incident happened at 11:52 p.m. at the intersection of Panama Lane and Buena Vista Road.

Upon officers’ arrival, they located an overturned SUV with a trapped woman with major injuries.

Bakersfield firefighters used the jaws of life to extricate a woman from her vehicle following a severe crash. She was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

An initial investigation revealed that the driver of the SUV, an adult male, was intoxicated at the time of the incident. Once medically cleared, he will be booked into Lerdo Jail on charges of DUI causing injury (felony) and driving without a license.
