65-Year-Old Woman and One-Year-Old Child Hit by SUV near Pajaro Lane
FREEDOM, CA (September 10, 2018) – A woman and an infant were injured Monday following a pedestrian crash on Pajaro Circle.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 12:20 PM, near Pajaro Lane. The report showed that the 65-year-old woman carrying a 1-year-old child stepped out from between parked cars when she was hit by a passing Jeep Compass.
The SUV clipped the elderly woman and child with the passenger-side mirror, knocking the pair to the ground.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find both injured pedestrians on the road. The woman was rushed to the Natividad Medical Center with major injuries, while the child was taken to the Watsonville Community Hospital with minor injuries. There is no update on either person’s current medical condition.
The case is under investigation by Freedom Police, and no additional information has been released to the public at this time.
