Fatal Pedestrian Accident Involving Car on McKinley Avenue
WILDOMAR, CA (September 20, 2019) – A woman in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a car on McKinley Avenue on Friday evening. The victim was only identified as a woman in her 50s.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Winery Avenue at approximately 6:30 PM. Based on a report, the victim was trying to cross the unmarked road before she rolled out into the westbound lanes and was hit by a car.
The paramedics sent her to Community Regional Medical Center, where she later died due to severe injuries.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and was cooperative with police. He was not driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
