Woman Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Trojan Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 6, 2019) — A woman was hurt after a pedestrian crash on Trojan Avenue on Thursday, September 5.
The incident happened near the intersection of Trojan Avenue and 54th Street. San Diego police public-affairs Officer Billy Hernandez stated that it occurred just before 8:15 a.m.
Emergency responders rushed the female victim to Scripps Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest for further treatment of major injuries.
The truck driver also stayed at the scene and cooperated with officials.
Furthermore, the identity of the pedestrian was not immediately available.
It was not immediately known with what department the city vehicle was affiliated.
Traffic detectives were still investigating the circumstances that may have led to the crash.
