65-Year-Old Woman Hurt in Fatal Crash on Stevens Creek Boulevard [Santa Clara, CA]

Santa Clara, CA (December 14, 2024) On Tuesday afternoon, a 66-year-old San Jose man was killed while a 65-year-old woman was hurt in a fatal crash on Stevens Creek Boulevard.

According to Santa Clara police, the deadly bout 12:19 p.m. crash happened at about 12:19 p.m. near Tyler Street.

Reports say that a high-speed crash on Tuesday afternoon in Santa Clara claimed the life of a man and left a woman seriously injured.

Authorities say that the collision occurred at 12:19 p.m. near Stevens Creek Boulevard and Tyler Street. Investigators determined that the man was making a left turn into a driveway when a pickup truck traveling at high speed struck his SUV.

Emergency responders found the driver of the SUV on the ground. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The woman, a passenger in the SUV, suffered serious injuries and remains under medical care.

The 20-year-old driver of the pickup truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police stated that drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be factors in the crash. A passenger in the pickup truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
