Pedestrian Accident on Kings Canyon Road Injures Woman
Fresno, CA (November 20, 2021) – On Friday, a woman her late 60’s suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Kings Canyon Road.
The pedestrian accident happened before 7 p.m. near the intersection with Willow Avenue.
Officers said the woman was walking northbound when a westbound vehicle struck her.
The emergency team provided medical aid on scene and transported her to a local hospital for treatment.
Moreover, investigation said that the woman did not use a crosswalk at the time of the accident. Apparently, she was nearly to the other side of the road before she was struck.
“At this stage, based on our preliminary investigation, it appears that the female is at fault for the traffic collision for failing to use a crosswalk or crossing at a location where a crosswalk is provided,” an officer said.
Meanwhile, the involved driver remained on scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Officials also said that drugs nor alcohol played a part in the accident on either party’s behalf.
The perverse actions of a reckless driver can increase the likelihood of traffic collisions.
If you are a driver, pay close attention to those around you. Always keep a considerable distance from others just in case harm is near.
