Woman Injured in Tenino Car Accident
TENINO, WA (December 11, 2018) – A woman was hospitalized following a car accident on December 8 around 5:00 p.m. near Tenino.
The incident occurred before 5:00 p.m. when the Castle Rock woman was traveling north on Highway 507 and her Ford Focus drove across the southbound lane at 174th Avenue Southeast and collided with the Centralia man’s pickup truck.
As a result of the crash, the injured woman was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and Highway 507 was shut down for more than five hours, Washington State Patrol revealed.
WSP also revealed that the 45-year-old female resident of Castle Rock caused the collision. Trooper Johnna Batiste revealed that the woman was detained on suspicion of DUI.
Meanwhile, the other driver, a 49-year-old Centralia male resident was reportedly hurt but did not go to the hospital.
The vehicle landed down an embankment while the truck blocked a lane of northbound Highway 507. The WSP also revealed that the road was shut down for more than five hours.
