Woman Fatally Struck on Interstate 805 [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (January 11, 2022) – On Monday, a female pedestrian was fatally struck on Interstate 805.

The authorities received the crash report at around 9:50 p.m. south of Carmel Mountain Road.

Apparently, a woman dressed in all dark clothing and stumbling was walking on the right side of the northbound freeway lanes.

That is when a black Ford Focus struck her. The victim sustained fatal injuries, but other vehicles also struck her afterward.

Moreover, the authorities have not yet identified the woman and they are still investigating if drugs or alcohol is a factor in this collision.

The Ford Focus driver cooperated with the investigators.
